Reading November 2015

Hi all,

So I thought I'd share a post about what I'm reading rather than a review. An update if you wish.

I told my nine year old sister the other day that I really felt like reading a book in Swedish cause I haven't done that for a while. She didn't even look at me but just said: well, read a book in swedish then. So I did. Or I started at least.

Now, I have something called a 'bokomat' in Swedish. Rough translation: book automat? Honestly no idea. I've included a pic so you can come up with your own definitions.

Call it whatever you wish but it's next to my bed and it's lovely. Now, it's for the size of swedish pocket books, hence, I only put my swedish books in there in no particular order. So picked the first book that I hadn't read to reach the bottom. Yes, I know it's inconvenient in the way that you have to pull them out from the bottom and put them in at the top to reach the book you want but whatever.

Book chosen: Allt jag säger är sant (All I say is true).

Completely ok. Not as good as other Swedish YA books I've read. (Oh no, this is starting to become a review). You'll have to wait a week for that. Hopefully it will take a week. Most of the time it takes me two days to read YA a book in Swedish, they're not always very long. It's complicated to explain cause you're probably like: you can't fit a plot in so many pages.

I guess it's the style, but trying to explain the style is completely useless. Most of you probably won't get it (I'm not sure I get it tbh so there's no point trying, it'll all just get muddled) and if you did, would you find out? Probably not since it's in Swedish. Oh dear, I sound extremely rude. I don't mean to. I'm sorry.

Thing is, I'm still on the last (so far published) Song of Ice and Fire (Game of Thrones) at the moment because I haven't finished it since summer. Yes I know. School is my only excuse. And then I picked up another book! I'm horrible.

On top of that I have two books that I have to read for school. I'm retaking my AS English Language and Literature exam cause the mark I got was stupid and I didn't have to retake the year luckily, but it's just not worth keeping it at that grade so I'm retaking it. So I have to reread Persuasion by Jane Austen and The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro, because you know it was half a year ago now and exam's in June and revision. I don't mind Persuasion at all and The Remains of the Day isn't complete torture (you can read my reviews on them from earlier this month), I just feel like I could spend the time on reading other books. But exams are important because grades are because uni is because the future is so I guess I have to give up a bit of pleasure reading for that.

But don't worry my friends. I only started this blog this month and I have plant of good YA books that I've read in the past that deserve a blog post on this blog so I'll set a bit of time for that for you.

Comment below what you're reading right now (school or no school). Happy readings to you all!!
