Book Purchase November 2015

So I love having books. Just being able to say that you have them, the sight of them on your bookshelf in wonderful rows and you can stroke your finger along their backs. It's wonderful.

I love the Cassandra Clare's books. I think she's fantastic. Her 'The Mortal Instruments' books are just ... I'm speechless. No, typeless. Now. 'The Immortal Instruments' - OMG!!! I love the fact that she makes everything make sense and that the past is connected with the present and the characters and I could go on and on and on about it.

Now, minor problem. My mum wouldn't really let me buy books because I had so many at home that I hadn't read. The urge of going into Waterstones when you're in Windsor. The urge to stay there for an hour. The urge to then buy that book or two. And then... the urge to read the book but, there are only so many hours on an day and 'school is more important'. So yeah, had loads of unread books at home. Mum, would also pull the 'you have an amazing library at school. use it' card. She was right. We did have an amazing library at school.

My point is, I started reading the library's copy of 'The Infernal Devices' (2/3 years ago?). I then moved on to reading 'The Mortal Instruments' (mind you, Clockwork Princess didn't come out until later so I was jumping a bit between books). I didn't have time to go to Waterstones, I didn't have time to procrastinate about my homework (I didn't get behind in anything though, or I would have remembered). And then, when I finished I realized: the books where not on my shelf but the library's. Major bookish problem!

Not until years later - when two new covers for the books have come out and I'm in the dilemma on which ones look better and if I can afford 9 books for £6 each - I have taken the initiative to  buy them. YES!! They will be on my bookshelf. It took me ages to decide which books I like better with the new covers, taking the new book (Lady Midnight) into account etc.

Then I discovered: All nine (9!) books on amazon for £21.42!!! Can you believe it?! That's like, what, the prize of four books! Not even. Plus I got a £10 Amazon voucher, so, I'm sitting there like: what am I waiting for?

I bought it when in school. I didn't see the point in waiting. I just don't know how to explain to my mum now when we get a parcel with nine (9!) books THAT I'VE ALREADY READ!!!

Waste of money?? NOOOOOOOOO
Not at all. Not a bit.

Regret? Absolutely not.
Proud as a peacock!

I'm so pleased. It should come between November 23rd and December 5th.

Question now is: should I go ahead and read them all in one go or should I continue with trying to finish the books and series I haven't finished: Matched, Shiver etc

The point is: I've got the books. Cause I've got the film and I've got the Bane Chronicles and now I have all the books.

Unless you've already gone to Amazon to check it out you may be wondering what the covers were.
Answer: the original ones.
I decided that as much as I care about the covers, what's important is that I have the books (because it's the pages inside that matter right?) and that they will get a place on my shelf. What I cannot handle is when the books are of different editions (I'll write another post about that sometime) but fret not, these are the originals and then you cannot go wrong, right?
Question is, where on earth will I put them. I literally have no room! I'll figure something out. All my books don't have to be on display (*takes a deep breath*). As long as you can see that I've read all those major series it's fine, right? (It does matter to me, I have to advertise my reading abilities (I do have this blog after all).

I'll sort something out and I'll tell you when I get them!! Comment which editions you like the best.

Cheers for now!!
